What this receiver is and who it fits

The Pioneer AVH-2550NEX is a 6.8" Double-DIN multimedia receiver with a WXGA resistive touchscreen. It includes a CD/DVD mechanism, HD Radio and Satellite Radio tuners, plus built-in Bluetooth for calls and streaming. The chassis fits most vehicles that accept a standard Double-DIN opening.

The spec that decides compatibility

Wired CarPlay and Android Auto require a physical USB connection to your phone; wireless projection is not supported. If your daily routine depends on cable-free phone mirroring, this unit will not meet that need.

Installation ease and common pitfalls

The Double-DIN chassis simplifies the mechanical fit, but you will need a vehicle-specific dash kit and wiring harness that are not included. Steering-wheel controls and factory amplifiers require the iDatalink Maestro module (sold separately) to retain full function.
