6.8″ 1-DIN Multimedia Receiver

The Pioneer AVH-3500NEX is a single-DIN head unit with a motorised 7-inch touchscreen that extends from the chassis. It plays CDs, DVDs and USB media while adding smartphone integration and high-resolution audio support for FLAC and WAV files.

Smartphone-focused drivers.

Buyers who want wireless Apple CarPlay or Android Auto should look elsewhere because this model requires a wired USB connection for both platforms. Installers needing a fixed double-DIN panel or a larger native display will not be able to use this shallow-mount design.

13-band equaliser with DSP

The built-in 13-band graphic equaliser and digital signal processing provide the primary tool for tailoring sound to the vehicle cabin, letting you adjust frequency response and bass boost without an external processor.

Questions about this item

Does the box include a wiring harness and antenna adapter, or must they be bought separately?

The receiver ships with the main unit and a detachable faceplate; a vehicle-specific wiring harness and antenna adapter are not included and must be purchased to match your car.

How do I choose between the wired Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto options on this model?

Both smartphone platforms connect through the same front USB port; simply plug in an iPhone for CarPlay or an Android phone for Android Auto — no separate version to select.

What does the 800 x 480 resolution mean for daily use on the 7" motorized touchscreen?

The WVGA panel shows menus, maps and camera views with clear text and usable detail, though fine map labels appear smaller than on higher-resolution screens.
