Modular 6.8" WVGA Multimedia Receiver

The Pioneer DMH-WC5700NEX is a 2-DIN digital media receiver with a 6.8-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen at 800 × 480 resolution. It includes a modular chassis design, an external GPS antenna and a bullet camera for rear-view visibility. Built-in Alexa, Bluetooth with dual-phone connection and HD Radio provide integrated connectivity. The unit targets drivers who want a single dashboard upgrade combining navigation, smartphone mirroring and video recording.

Upgrade from Basic Radio or Older Touchscreen

This receiver replaces factory stereos or earlier single-DIN units that lack smartphone projection, a rear camera input or high-resolution touch control. The jump is worthwhile when you need wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, a 13-band equalizer with crossover settings and MOSFET amplification rated at 50W x 4 maximum and 22W x 4 continuous. The modular chassis eases installation in tighter dash openings where a fixed-depth chassis would not fit.

Suits Drivers Wanting All-in-One Integration

Buyers who want wired and wireless phone mirroring, voice control via Alexa and Siri Eyes Free, plus a supplied bullet camera will find the feature set complete. The USB Type-C port delivers 5V/3A charging and plays Hi-Res FLAC, DSD and WAV files alongside common video formats. Shoppers needing a larger 1080p display, multi-zone audio outputs or a built-in satellite radio tuner should look at other models because this unit tops out at WVGA resolution and requires a separate satellite tuner.

Questions about this item

What dashboard opening does the 6.8" modular chassis require?

The receiver uses a 2-DIN modular chassis that fits a standard double-DIN dashboard opening; the external GPS antenna mounts separately on the roof or dash.

Which wiring step is most often missed when adding the bullet camera?

The camera's video cable must be routed to the rear camera input on the receiver and the reverse-trigger wire connected to the vehicle's backup-light circuit for automatic switching.

How do I keep the capacitive touchscreen and camera lens clear over time?

Clean the 800 × 480 display and the bullet camera lens with a soft microfibre cloth and screen-safe cleaner; avoid abrasive pads that can scratch the capacitive layer or lens coating.
