Modular 6.8" WVGA Receiver

The Pioneer DMH-WC5700NEX is a 2-DIN digital media receiver built around a 6.8" WVGA capacitive touchscreen with 800 × 480 resolution. It offers 5 display colours and 112 key colours for a customisable home screen. Wireless and wired CarPlay plus Android Auto compatibility suit drivers who want smartphone integration without a factory navigation system.

Installation Notes

The modular chassis separates the display from the main unit, allowing flexible mounting in tighter dash openings. An external GPS antenna is included in the box and must be positioned with a clear sky view. Dual USB Type-C ports handle 5V/3A charging and media playback; route cables carefully to avoid stress on the connectors. Professional fitting is recommended for steering-wheel control interfaces.

Ideal Buyers and Limits

This unit fits owners who want HD Radio, built-in Alexa, Bluetooth dual-phone connection and a 13-band EQ with subwoofer control. The MOSFET amplifier delivers 50W x 4 max and 22W x 4 continuous power. Buyers who need a built-in optical drive, factory amplifier integration modules or a higher-resolution HD panel should look at other models.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 6.8" WVGA touchscreen and 50W x 4 MOSFET amplifier are working after installation?

Verify the capacitive touchscreen responds to touch and shows the customizable home screen with 112 key colors. Test audio output on all four channels using the 13-band EQ and subwoofer control, and confirm the 22W x 4 continuous power delivers clear sound at volume.

What comes in the box with the DMH-WC5700NEX and what must I purchase separately for CarPlay and Android Auto?

The package includes the modular 6.8" receiver, external GPS antenna, and wiring harness. Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto work with a compatible iPhone or Android phone — no extra dongle required. A USB Type-C cable for wired connection and a rear-view camera are sold separately.

Which DMH-WC5700NEX version should I choose for wireless CarPlay, Alexa, and Hi-Res FLAC playback?

This single model supports wireless and wired CarPlay, Android Auto, built-in Alexa, and USB Type-C playback of Hi-Res FLAC, DSD, WAV, and MP3 files. No alternative versions or capacities exist — the 5700NEX designation covers the complete feature set.
