2-DIN CD Receiver with Bluetooth

The Pioneer FH-S722BS is a 2-DIN CD receiver designed for drivers who want physical media playback alongside modern smartphone integration. It fits standard double-DIN dash openings and includes a rotary volume knob for tactile control. Built-in Bluetooth handles wireless audio streaming and hands-free calls with dual-phone pairing. The unit suits daily commuters and road-trip enthusiasts seeking a single-source upgrade.

VA LCD Display and High-Voltage Preouts

A VA LCD two-line display offers 210,000 dual-zone color choices with automatic and manual dimmer settings for day or night visibility. Six-channel RCA preamp outputs deliver 4V signal strength for clean amplifier feeding. The built-in MOSFET amplifier provides 50W x 4 maximum power and 14W x 4 RMS at 4 ohms, meeting CTA-2006 standards. Subwoofer crossover controls and a 13-band equalizer expand tuning flexibility.

Upgrade Path from Basic Factory Units

This receiver replaces single-DIN or non-touchscreen factory radios that lack Bluetooth, high-voltage preouts, or smartphone app support. The jump is worthwhile when you need CD playback, USB FLAC and WAV high-resolution file support, plus Pandora, Spotify and SiriusXM readiness. Alexa compatibility via Pioneer Smart Sync adds voice control. Buyers who want a large touchscreen, wireless CarPlay or Android Auto, or built-in navigation should consider other categories.

Questions about this item

What does the 4V preamp output level mean for system expansion?

The three pairs of 4-volt RCA preouts deliver a strong, clean signal to external amplifiers, reducing noise and allowing flexible front, rear and subwoofer channel assignments.

What dashboard opening and depth does this 2-DIN receiver require?

It fits a standard double-DIN cut-out and needs sufficient depth behind the fascia for the CD mechanism and wiring harness.

How is the Pioneer Smart Sync app installed and what step is often missed?

Download the app, pair the phone via Bluetooth, then enable the app connection in the receiver's Bluetooth menu — skipping that menu setting is the common mistake.
