Alexa-Ready Smart Receiver

The Pioneer MVH-S322BT is a mechless digital media receiver built for drivers who want voice control and smartphone integration without a CD mechanism. It connects to Alexa through the Pioneer Smart Sync app, letting you manage music, navigation and calls hands-free. The detachable faceplate adds a layer of theft deterrence when parked.

Bluetooth Limits and App EQ

Built-in Bluetooth handles dual-phone pairing so two devices stay linked for calls and streaming, though only one audio stream plays at a time. The on-board 13-band graphic equaliser expands to 31 bands inside the Smart Sync app, giving deeper tone shaping but requiring a phone connection and data. The VA LCD shows two lines of text with LED backlight and manual or timer dimming.

Upgrade From Basic Factory Radio

This unit replaces a single-DIN factory stereo that lacks Bluetooth, USB playback or app control. The jump is worth it when you need wireless calling, FLAC and WAV support via USB, and 4-volt pre-outs for adding external amplifiers. The integrated 24-bit DAC and 50-watt MOSFET amp improve clarity over most stock decks, but builders needing disc playback or a larger display should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Should I choose the 13-band EQ or the 31-band EQ via the Smart Sync App?

The unit has a 13-band EQ on the faceplate; the Pioneer Smart Sync App unlocks a 31-band EQ for finer tuning when a smartphone is connected.

What does the 50W x 4 MOSFET amplifier mean for daily listening?

The built-in amplifier delivers 50 watts per channel to four speakers, providing enough power for clear, loud playback in most vehicles without an external amp.

What do the 24-bit DAC and 4V preouts cap in practice?

The 24-bit DAC handles high-resolution files up to 24-bit depth, while the 4-volt RCA preouts supply a strong, low-noise signal to external amplifiers.
