6.5" 4-Way Coaxial Speakers

The Pioneer TS-601M is a pair of 6.5-inch coaxial speakers built for car owners who want a clear upgrade over factory fitted units. The four-way layout adds a dedicated midrange, tweeter and super tweeter to the woofer for broader frequency coverage. They suit daily drivers seeking better detail without moving to separate component systems. Installation uses the included multi-fit adapters for a direct fit in many standard openings.

70W RMS with 320W Peak Headroom

Each speaker handles 70 watts RMS continuously and peaks at 320 watts, giving comfortable volume for highway cruising and spirited playback. The 91dB sensitivity means they reach usable loudness on modest head-unit power, while the 4-ohm impedance matches most factory and aftermarket stereos. Extended output runs out when sustained demand exceeds the thermal limits of the copper voice coil or when the elastic polymer surround reaches its mechanical travel limit.

Replaces Factory Coaxials

These speakers replace worn or basic original equipment coaxials that lack a dedicated midrange and super tweeter. The jump is worth it when the existing system sounds muffled at the top end or lacks midrange presence. They are not for installers building a full active component system with external crossovers, nor for vehicles that require shallow-mount depths not confirmed by the supplied adapters.

Questions about this item

Will the 6.5" TS-601M fit the factory speaker openings in my older car without cutting?

Multi-fit adapters are included so the 6.5" frame can mount in most factory locations without modification.

How can I verify the 4-way TS-601M is performing correctly after I wire it up?

Play a frequency sweep from 37 Hz to 31 kHz and listen for clean output from the woofer, midrange, tweeter and super tweeter without distortion at moderate volume.

Does the TS-601M box contain everything needed for installation or must I buy wiring or brackets separately?

The pair of speakers, protective mesh grilles and multi-fit adapters are included; speaker wire and any vehicle-specific harnesses are not supplied.
