Pioneer TS-A693CH 6x9 2-Way Component Car Speakers

Pioneer TS-A693CH 6x9 Component System

The Pioneer TS-A693CH is a 2-way component speaker pair built for car-audio enthusiasts who want clearer imaging and wider dispersion than coaxial units can provide. Aramid-fibre reinforced IMPP cones handle up to 105 watts RMS and 460 watts peak, while 20 mm PEI hard-dome tweeters extend response to 58 kHz. A 92 dB sensitivity rating means strong output even with modest amplifier power.

Mounting Depth and Amplifier Matching

Before ordering, measure the door or rear-deck cavity to confirm at least 2-7/8 inches of clear mounting depth behind the baffle. Verify that your head unit or external amplifier can deliver clean power into a 4 ohm load without clipping at the levels you intend to play. The included passive crossovers require a secure mounting location away from moisture and moving parts.

Included Crossovers and Tweeter Flexibility

The bundled passive crossovers split frequencies between woofer and tweeter without any active processing, simplifying installation to a single amplifier channel per side. Separate tweeter housings allow flush, surface or angled mounting so you can aim high frequencies toward the listening position for better staging. Ferrite magnets on both drivers keep the package weight manageable while maintaining the 13.05 oz motor strength specified for the woofers.
