An 8-inch marine coaxial speaker rated for 40 watts RMS and 200 watts peak with a water-resistant IMPP cone and 92 dB sensitivity
The Pioneer TS-MR2040 is an 8-inch two-way coaxial speaker built for marine environments. It handles 40 watts RMS and 200 watts peak power for loud, clear playback on open water. The Nautica Series design targets boat owners who need durable audio that resists salt, humidity and heat.
A water-resistant injection-moulded polypropylene cone pairs with a 11mm poly-imide reflex horn tweeter for wide dispersion. The elastomer surround resists colour fading and running under UV exposure. An AES glass-fibre reinforced basket and magnet cover protects the magnetic circuit from corrosion.
The speaker covers 25 Hz to 30 kHz with a sensitivity of 92 dB, suitable for mid-bass presence and detailed highs in noisy conditions. Buyers needing deeper sub-bass extension or higher SPL for large vessels will require additional amplification or larger drivers.

The speaker reproduces bass down to 25 Hz and treble up to 30 kHz, covering the full audible spectrum for marine listening.
The 8-inch frame needs a standard 8-inch cut-out; the AES glass-fibre basket and magnet cover fit typical marine mounting depths.
The tweeter is factory-integrated into the coaxial assembly; the step often missed is sealing the mounting gasket to keep moisture out of the basket.
