Pixio PX278 Wave Beige 27" QHD Gaming Monitor

The Pixio PX278 Wave Beige is a 27-inch Fast IPS gaming monitor built for competitive players who want high refresh rates and accurate colour. Its beige cabinet and three-sided frameless bezel suit minimalist desk setups while the 180 Hz panel keeps motion fluid in fast-paced titles.

180 Hz Refresh Rate via DisplayPort 1.4

The single specification that decides fit is the 180 Hz maximum refresh rate, which is only available over DisplayPort 1.4; HDMI 2.0 caps at 144 Hz. Buyers whose graphics card or dock lacks DisplayPort 1.4 bandwidth will not reach the advertised 180 Hz and should verify their output capabilities before purchase.

VESA Mount Ready with Included Stand

The monitor ships with a height-adjustable stand and a 100 x 100 mm VESA pattern for arm or wall mounting. Installation is straightforward: attach the stand base with the captive thumb screw, then connect power and video cables. The most common issue is forgetting to enable 180 Hz in the OSD and GPU control panel after connecting via DisplayPort, leaving the panel running at the default 144 Hz.

Questions about this item

How does the 180Hz refresh rate behave when the monitor is connected to a real system?

The panel runs at 180Hz over DisplayPort 1.4 and at 144Hz over HDMI 2.0, so the cable choice decides the maximum frame rate you will see.

What interface caps the refresh rate and at what limit?

DisplayPort 1.4 delivers the full 180Hz, while HDMI 2.0 tops out at 144Hz for this QHD panel.

What does the monitor need to fit on a desk or arm?

It uses a standard VESA 100 mount and ships with a tilt-adjustable stand; the 3-sided frameless bezel keeps the footprint compact.
