Pixio PX279 Wave 27" Fast IPS Gaming Monitor

The Pixio PX279 Wave is a 27 inch gaming monitor built on a Fast IPS panel with a 1920 x 1080 FHD resolution. It delivers a 240Hz refresh rate and a 1ms GTG response time for competitive play. Adaptive Sync support keeps motion smooth across variable frame rates. The 3-sided frameless design suits multi-monitor setups.

Ideal for competitive FHD players.

This monitor suits gamers who prioritise 240Hz motion clarity at 1080p and want wide 178° viewing angles with 110.26% sRGB colour coverage. Buyers who need more desktop real estate for editing or multitasking should look at higher-resolution panels. The 1000:1 contrast ratio also limits deep-black performance in dark-room content consumption.

240Hz refresh rate over DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0

The single specification that decides fit is the 240Hz refresh rate, supported at full speed on both DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 inputs. If your graphics card and cables cannot drive 240 frames per second at 1920 x 1080, the panel’s primary advantage goes unused. Verify your GPU output capabilities before purchase.

Questions about this item

Will this 27-inch monitor fit a standard VESA arm or shelf?

The 27-inch chassis uses the common VESA pattern, so Pixio's own monitor arm and top shelf mount directly without an adapter bracket.

Can I run the full 240 Hz over HDMI or do I need DisplayPort?

Both the HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.4 inputs support the full 240 Hz at 1920 x 1080, so either cable works.

How accurate are the colours for creative work as well as gaming?

The Fast IPS panel covers 110.26 % sRGB and 93.5 % DCI-P3, giving vivid, consistent colour across the 178° viewing angles.
