27 inch QHD curved gaming monitor

The Pixio PXC278 Wave Blue is a 27 inch gaming monitor with a 1650R curvature and a Fast VA panel. It delivers a 2560 x 1440 QHD resolution at a 180Hz refresh rate and a 1ms GTG response time. Adaptive Sync support keeps frames aligned with the graphics output for smoother motion.

Connectivity and build fit

Video inputs include DisplayPort 1.4 for the full 180Hz rate and HDMI 2.0 for up to 144Hz. The 3 sided frameless bezel reduces visual distraction in multi monitor layouts. A matte finish cuts glare while the 350 cd/m2 brightness and 5000:1 contrast ratio keep images readable in varied lighting.

Competitive gamers and colour aware creators

Wide colour coverage at 108.69% sRGB and 88.92% DCI-P3 suits editing workflows alongside high refresh gaming. Buyers who need a higher refresh ceiling or a different panel technology should look at other models. The fixed blue cabinet colour may not match every build theme.

Questions about this item

Will 180 Hz work over HDMI?

HDMI 2.0 is limited to 144 Hz at 2560 x 1440. For the full 180 Hz you need a DisplayPort 1.4 cable and a GPU that supports it.

Does the 1650R curve suit desk work as well as gaming?

The 1650R radius is a gentle curve; text stays readable at normal viewing distance and the 178° viewing angles keep colour consistent across the panel.

What colour volume can I expect for creative tasks?

The Fast VA panel covers 108.69% sRGB and 88.92% DCI-P3 with a 5000:1 contrast ratio, so photos and video have deep blacks and saturated tones.
