Installation and Common Issues

The converter uses a DC 5V 2A power adapter and operates from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. Connect the RJ-45 port and SC fiber patch cable, then apply power. LEDs show PWR, TP LINK/ACT at 1000 and Fiber LINK/ACT. A mismatch between multi-mode fiber type and the 220m or 550m reach often causes link failure.

Pre-Order Compatibility Checks

Verify the existing fiber plant uses multi-mode cable with SC terminations and that the run length fits the 220m or 550m specification. Confirm a 5V 2A DC supply is available at the install site. Ensure the copper side negotiates 10, 100 or 1000Base-T as required by the connected switch or router.
