Industrial managed 6-port Gigabit switch with four PoE+ ports, Layer 3 routing, 255 VLANs and EN50155 rail certification for -40 to 75 °C operation
The PLANET IGS-5226-4P2T is a Layer 3 managed Ethernet switch built for industrial environments. It provides six RJ45 ports operating at 10/100/1000Mbps and supports wall-mount or DIN rail installation. The unit operates across a -40 to 75 degrees C temperature range and complies with EN50155 for railway applications. It is suited for deployments requiring rugged, managed connectivity with PoE capability.
Four ports deliver IEEE 802.3af/at PoE with end-span power output up to 15.4 watts per port on the 802.3af standard and higher on 802.3at. Total available PoE power depends on the external power supply voltage, which ranges from 48V to 53V DC. The two non-PoE ports provide data only. Jumbo frames up to 9000 bytes are supported, and the switch uses store-and-forward switching with a 4MB buffer.
This switch replaces unmanaged or non-PoE industrial switches where VLAN segmentation, static routing, or powered device support are now required. It adds IEEE 802.1Q VLANs with up to 255 groups, Q-in-Q tunneling, IPv4/IPv6 static routing, and 802.1X authentication. The jump is warranted when network segmentation, remote management via SNMP, or powering cameras and access points over Ethernet become necessary.
