Pro Max 24 Layer 3 Switch

The USW-Pro-Max-24 is a 24-port managed rackmount switch that delivers Layer 3 routing and 56 Gbps non-blocking throughput. It provides 16 GbE RJ45 ports, 8 ports at 2.5 GbE, and 2 10G SFP+ uplinks for aggregation. The Etherlighting™ LEDs show port location, speed, and native VLAN status at a glance.

Suits networks needing multi-gig access

Buyers who need PoE to power access points or cameras should look elsewhere, as this model has no PoE support. Environments requiring higher-density 10G connectivity beyond two uplinks will need a different switch. The single universal AC input plus optional USP-RPS DC backup fits standard rack power planning.

2.5 GbE port count decides fit

Eight 2.5 GbE RJ45 ports give multi-gig speed to compatible endpoints without recabling to 10G. If the deployment only needs Gigabit to the desktop, a switch with fewer 2.5 GbE ports may cost less. If more than eight multi-gig drops are required, a model with additional 2.5 GbE or 10G ports is necessary.

Questions about this item

What rack space and power connection does the USW-Pro-Max-24 need to operate?

The switch is a rackmount unit with a universal 100—240V AC input and a USP-RPS DC backup input.

Can the 2.5 GbE and 10G SFP+ ports link with my existing Gigabit devices?

Yes, the (8) 2.5 GbE RJ45 and (2) 10G SFP+ ports auto-negotiate down to 1 GbE for older hardware.

How do I confirm the switch is passing traffic at line rate after installation?

Check the Etherlighting™ port LEDs for speed/link status and native VLAN colour, then verify 112 Gbps switching capacity in UniFi Network 8.0.24.
