Industrial Fast Ethernet switch with fiber uplink

The PLANET ISW-511T is an unmanaged switch built for industrial networks. It provides four 10/100Base-TX RJ-45 ports with auto MDI/MDI-X and one 100Base-FX multi-mode fiber port. The fiber interface supports transmission up to 2 km over 50/125µm or 62.5/125µm cable at 1310 nm. A 2K MAC address table and 1MB buffer handle store-and-forward switching.

Suits harsh environments needing long

This unit fits DIN-rail or wall-mount installations and operates from -40 to 75 °C with 5–90 % non-condensing humidity. Redundant 12–48 V DC input with polarity-reverse protection keeps it running if one supply fails. It is not for networks that require Gigabit speeds, managed features such as VLANs or SNMP, or single-mode fiber distances beyond 2 km.

Four copper ports plus one multi-mode fiber port

The four RJ-45 ports comfortably handle 10/100 Mbps devices in factory automation, transportation or outdoor cabinets. The fiber uplink extends the segment to 2 km with a launch power of -14 to -20 dBm and receive sensitivity of -32 dBm. Bandwidth runs out when aggregate traffic exceeds the 100 Mbps line rate or when the 2K MAC table fills in very large flat networks.

Questions about this item

What DC power source must I already have to run the ISW-511T?

You need a 12 to 48V DC supply; the switch accepts redundant inputs and includes polarity reverse protection.

Will my existing 10Base-T devices work on the four RJ-45 ports?

Yes — the ports support IEEE 802.3 10Base-T and 100Base-TX with auto MDI/MDI-X, so legacy 10 Mbps gear connects without crossover cables.

How can I verify the 100Base-FX link is operating correctly after installation?

Check that the FX port LED shows a solid link; the multi-mode fiber path supports up to 2 km at 1310 nm with receive sensitivity of -32 dBm.
