Kit purpose

The PLANET LRP-101C-KIT is a one-port Long Reach PoE over coax extender kit that sends power and Ethernet data up to 1000 meters over coaxial cable. It consists of an injector unit and an extender unit, letting installers place PoE devices far beyond the standard 100 metre Ethernet limit.

Fit and limits

The kit suits installers who need to reach remote IP cameras, wireless access points or access-control systems over existing coaxial runs in environments from -20 to 70 °C. It does not suit buyers who want multi-port aggregation, fibre uplink capability or PoE budgets above the 802.3at/af class.

Sustained operation

The rugged metal housing and wide temperature rating allow continuous operation in harsh climates without active cooling. Extensive LED indicators give ongoing link and power status so technicians can verify the connection during long-term deployment.

Questions about this item

What PoE standard must the existing switch or injector support to power the LRP-101CH unit?

The LRP-101CH requires an IEEE 802.3at or 802.3af compliant PoE source delivering power over the RJ45 copper port.

Can the 1000 m coaxial link replace the 100 m Ethernet run to a camera while keeping the same PoE class?

Yes, the kit extends data and PoE up to 1000 m over coax, then the LRP-101CE delivers 802.3af/at PoE over a final 100 m Ethernet segment.

Which LED indicators confirm the 1000 m coax link and PoE output are active after installation?

Extensive LED indicators on both units show link status, PoE power delivery and coaxial signal quality for network diagnostics.
