Long-reach PoE injector for 802.3af/at devices

The PLANET LRP-101CH extends IP Ethernet transmission beyond the 100 metres distance limit while injecting power into a remote powered device. It accepts 48~56V DC PoE input compliant with IEEE 802.3at/af and forwards both data and power over a coaxial link. The unit operates at 10/100BASE-TX speeds with auto-negotiation and auto-MDI/MDI-X. Metal enclosure and wall-mount or DIN-rail options suit commercial installations.

Coaxial extension replaces standard copper run

A single coaxial cable carries the combined data and power signal to the far-end device, removing the need for a local power outlet at the camera or access point. The injector supports both mid-span and end-span PSE architectures, so it integrates with existing PoE switches or separate injectors. Four status LEDs show power, link, PoE input and activity for quick diagnostics. Maximum frame size is 1522 bytes.

Metal case with ESD and EFT protection

The enclosure provides 4 kV DC ESD protection and 2 kV EFT protection for reliable operation in electrically noisy environments. Connectors are a 10/100BASE-TX RJ45 port and a coaxial interface for the long-reach segment. Wall-mount brackets or an optional DIN-rail kit secure the unit in cabinets or on poles. Cat5e or better cabling is required on the Ethernet side. Not for buyers who need gigabit throughput or fibre uplink.
