1-Channel Video over Fiber Kit

The PLANET VF-101G-KIT is a bundled transmitter and receiver pair for sending one analogue video channel over a single fiber link. It supports hybrid AHD, TVI, CVI and CVBS formats at up to 1080p resolution. The kit is aimed at installers who need to extend CCTV signals beyond copper distance limits.

20 km transmission distance

The kit guarantees long-distance data transmission up to 20 km over fiber. It uses high-speed synchronous digital transmission technology with a video bandwidth of 60 MHz and a weighted signal-to-noise ratio greater than 67 dB. An RS485 data channel runs at DC-115.2 Kbps in simplex mode for PTZ control.

Installers needing single-channel hybrid video

The unit suits projects that require one bi-directional video path with PTZ data over fiber. It is not for installations needing multiple video channels, IP camera integration, or Ethernet transport. Buyers requiring rack mounting must purchase the optional MC-700, MC-1500 or MC-1500R chassis separately.

Questions about this item

What does the 60 MHz video bandwidth mean when the kit is installed?

It supports 1080p AHD, TVI and CVI plus 480p CVBS signals over a single bi-directional channel with 8/10-bit digital depth.

How does the Gigabit fiber interface limit the link in practice?

The fiber link carries video and RS485 data up to 20 km with a bit error rate below 10 ns and simplex operation at 115.2 Kbps.

What mounting options does the metal chassis need?

It is wall-mountable and can fit DIN-rail or MC-700, MC-1500 and MC-1500R chassis with optional kits.
