Ultra Thin Clear PET Tape

This double-sided PET tape measures 82 feet on a single roll and is designed for smooth-surface bonding in craft, office, home and industrial settings. The crystal-clear film keeps bonds virtually invisible once applied. It suits hobbyists, decorators and technicians who need a discreet, strong hold without mechanical fasteners.

Installation and common issues

The flexible PET carrier tears cleanly by hand and can be cut to any length with scissors, so fitting it to irregular shapes is straightforward. The main pitfall is applying it to dusty, oily or textured surfaces, which reduces initial tack and long-term adhesion. Pressing firmly along the full length after placement helps avoid edge lift later.

Practical limits of the acrylic adhesive

The acrylic layer handles a wide temperature range and resists ageing, making it viable for outdoor exposure as well as indoor use. However, it is not designed for structural loads, porous materials such as raw brick or fabric, or permanently wet environments. For those conditions a mechanical fixing or specialised construction adhesive is required.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the PLAXIARY tape is holding securely after I apply it?

Press the bonded surfaces firmly together; the high-performance acrylic adhesive delivers strong initial tack and permanent adhesion on smooth materials such as metal, plastic, glass and wood, so the joint should not shift when handled.

What does the single roll contain and are any tools included?

The package supplies one roll of clear PET double-sided tape measuring 82 ft; no dispenser or cutter is included, so you will need scissors or a knife to cut the tape to length.

Which version of this tape should I choose for outdoor mounting?

The roll is rated for outdoor use with excellent temperature and aging resistance, making this single 82 ft version suitable for exterior fixing as well as indoor projects.
