USB display adapter for extended desktop
The Plugable UGA-HDMI-S is a USB display adapter that adds one HDMI output to a Windows or Mac computer. It supports extended or mirrored modes up to 1920x1080 at 60Hz through a single hybrid cable. The device is aimed at productivity users who need an extra screen for web browsing or office applications.
Check host port and driver requirements
Verify that your computer has an available USB 3.0 Type-A or USB-C port before ordering. Windows 10 or 11 and macOS 10.14 or later are required, and driver installation is necessary for operation. The adapter does not support playback of HDCP-protected streaming content such as Netflix or Hulu.
Low thermal and power profile
The adapter draws power directly from the host USB port and has no fan or external supply. In normal office use it runs cool and silent, adding negligible load to the system. It is not recommended for gaming or graphics-intensive workloads where higher thermal output would be expected.
