Ready-to-install 120W lamp module
The Plus U2-120 is a new replacement projector lamp supplied as a fully assembled bulb and housing unit. It fits compatible Plus projectors without requiring separate bulb handling or alignment. The module uses a P-VIP type lamp rated at 120W with a stated life of 1,000 hours. It is intended for users who need a direct swap to restore brightness and reliability.
Thermals noise and power draw
The lamp operates at its rated 120W power consumption during normal projection. Heat output is inherent to the P-VIP technology and is managed by the projector's internal cooling system. Acoustic noise comes from the projector's fans rather than the lamp module itself. No additional power draw or thermal load beyond the 120W specification is introduced by this replacement unit.
Upgrade from dim or expired lamps
This module replaces an original lamp that has reached the end of its 1,000-hour rated life or has suffered a premature failure. The jump is worth it when image brightness has dropped noticeably, colour fidelity has shifted, or the projector warns of imminent lamp expiry. It is not for users seeking higher lumen output than the projector's native design or those needing a different wattage or lamp type.

Questions about this item
How do I install the Plus U2-120 lamp module and what step is often missed?
The module arrives fully assembled with the 120W Osram P-VIP bulb inside the housing; insert it into the projector and secure the retaining screws, then reset the lamp timer in the menu — skipping the timer reset is the step most people forget.
What maintenance or replacement will the Plus U2-120 lamp need later?
The 120W P-VIP bulb is rated for 1000 hours of use; after that the lamp module must be replaced with a new Plus U2-120 unit because the bulb cannot be serviced separately.
What limit appears first during sustained use of the Plus U2-120 lamp?
The 1000-hour rated lamp life is the primary limit; brightness and ignition reliability decline as the 120W P-VIP bulb approaches that runtime.
