Poly VVX 350 VoIP Phone

The Poly VVX 350 is a desktop telephone built for voice over IP communication. It operates using the IEEE 802.3 standard for network connectivity. This device is intended for office workers who need a wired IP handset. It is a new unit ready for deployment on compatible infrastructure.

Suitable for PoE networks only

This phone draws power through the Ethernet cable, so it requires a switch or injector that supplies PoE. Buyers whose network ports deliver data only cannot use this handset without extra equipment. It also fits users who want a traditional desk form factor rather than a softphone or headset solution. Anyone needing wireless freedom should look at a different device.

IEEE 802.3 compliance decides fit

The single specification that determines compatibility is adherence to the IEEE 802.3 standard for both data and power delivery. If the existing LAN gear follows this standard the phone will negotiate link and power automatically. If the infrastructure uses a different wiring scheme or power method the handset will not function. Verify the standard before purchasing.
