Piggin' String Gaffer Spooler Kit

The Porta Brace Piggin' String Gaffer Spooler Kit provides a 12-inch spooler made from durable nylon with a hook-and-loop fastener and clip. It includes a carabiner flashlight and a roll of premium gaffer tape. The system clips directly onto Porta Brace camera cases for immediate access on set.

What the bundled accessories change

The included carabiner flashlight adds a compact light source for low-light rigging or equipment checks without needing a separate torch. Supplying the gaffer tape in the box means the spooler is ready to use immediately for securing cables, marking positions or making quick repairs.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

This kit suits photographers, videographers and audio professionals who already use Porta Brace cases and want an integrated tape-management solution with a built-in light. Buyers who need a different tape width, a longer spooler length or a mounting system for non-Porta Brace bags should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Will the hook-and-loop fastener on the 12-inch Piggin' String wear out and need replacing?

The durable nylon construction and hook-and-loop fastener are built for repeated studio use; if the fastener loses grip over time, the entire Piggin' String can be replaced as a unit.

What stops me from pulling more tape than the spooler can cleanly feed during a long shoot?

The 12-inch Piggin' String holds one roll of the included premium gaffer tape, so the roll length is the natural limit before you must reload.

Does the carabiner flashlight get hot or drain its battery quickly when left on all day?

The compact flashlight is designed for intermittent low-light tasks; extended continuous use will drain its battery and may warm the body, so turn it off between setups.
