Full HD 1080p streaming webcam

The Portholic webcam captures 1920 x 1080 video at 30 fps through a USB connection. A built-in noise cancelling microphone handles voice pickup for calls and streams. The lens assembly rotates 360 degrees and supports angle adjustment for flexible positioning. It operates on DC 5 V power drawn from the host port.

Upgrade from basic laptop cameras

Integrated cameras often limit resolution to 720p and lack dedicated microphones or physical positioning freedom. This unit replaces those fixed modules with full 1080p capture and a 360 degree rotating mount. The jump is worth it when you need clearer video for conferencing, content creation or streaming without installing internal hardware.

Check USB port and OS compatibility

Verify your device offers a standard USB port for the plug-and-play connection; no driver installation is required. Supported systems include Windows XP through Windows 10 and higher, Mac OS 10.6 or higher, Android 5.0, and Vista. On laptops you may need to disable the internal camera and microphone in settings before use.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the 360° rotation need on a monitor bezel?

The webcam clamps onto a monitor or sits on a flat surface; its 360° rotation requires enough space for the body to turn fully without hitting the screen edge.

What is the step people miss when plugging it into a laptop?

On a laptop you must disable the built-in camera and microphone in system settings before the external webcam will be selected as the default device.

When should the fixed-focus glass lens be cleaned?

Clean the lens with a microfibre cloth whenever the 1920×1080 image looks hazy; the glass element has no moving parts so only dust or fingerprints affect clarity.
