Portholic 1080P USB Webcam for Streaming

The Portholic webcam captures 1920 x 1080 video at 30 fps with a 110° wide-angle lens. Autofocus and automatic white balance keep the image sharp and natural. A built-in stereo microphone with noise reduction handles voice pickup. A privacy cover and an expandable tripod are included in the box.

USB 2.0 and 3.0 Interface Practical Limits

The camera uses a USB 2.0 or 3.0 connection that supplies both data and power without an external adapter. Bandwidth is sufficient for 1080p at 30 fps but would not support higher resolutions or frame rates. The supplied cable is 1.5 metres long, which limits placement distance from the host port.

Compatibility and Setup Checks Before Ordering

Driver-free operation is supported on Windows XP through Windows 10 and higher, macOS 10.6 or higher, and Android 5.0. The device also works with smart TVs and monitors that accept UVC webcams. Verify that your system has an available USB-A port and that your preferred conferencing or streaming application recognises standard UVC video devices.

Questions about this item

Should I pick a different resolution or frame-rate version of this Portholic webcam?

The model is offered only as 1920 x 1080 at 30 fps with a 110° lens; no other resolution or frame-rate variants are listed.

What does the 1920 x 1080 at 30 fps spec actually deliver on a typical call?

You get full HD video at up to 30 frames per second, auto focus and auto white balance for natural colour, plus a built-in stereo noise-canceling microphone.

The webcam uses USB 2.0/3.0 — what does that limit in practice?

The USB 2.0/3.0 interface caps bandwidth to USB 2.0 speeds, which is sufficient for 1080p 30 fps streaming, and the 1.5 m cable gives flexible placement.
