Portholic 1080P webcam with microphone

This full HD webcam delivers 1920 x 1080 video at 30 fps using a CMOS sensor and optical lens. It connects via USB 2.0 with plug-and-play simplicity on Windows XP through 10 and Mac OSX. A built-in stereo microphone with noise reduction captures sound within 6 m. The package includes a retractable tripod, privacy cover, and 1.5 m cable for flexible placement.

Ideal for streaming and video calls

Suitable for live streaming, online lessons, conferences, and video calls on platforms such as Skype, Zoom, and FaceTime. The adjustable clip with 360° rotation fits monitors and laptops. Automatic light correction helps maintain image quality in varied lighting. Buyers who need 60 fps capture, a higher resolution sensor, or a different mounting system should look at other options.

1080P resolution at 30 fps via USB 2.0

The single specification that decides fit is the 1920 x 1080 resolution at 30 frames per second over a USB 2.0 interface. This determines whether the video quality and bandwidth meet the requirements for your streaming, conferencing, or recording setup. Compatibility with the listed operating systems and the fixed focus behaviour complete the core decision factors.

Questions about this item

Will the privacy cover or the clip mechanism wear out first on this Portholic 1080P webcam?

The privacy cover slides over the lens and the clip rotates 360 degrees; both are passive parts with no motors, so neither has a rated wear cycle and neither is expected to need replacement under normal use.

What limit appears first when the webcam runs continuously at 1920 x 1080 resolution and 30 fps?

The USB 2.0 interface caps sustained throughput, so the 1080p 30 fps video stream is the practical ceiling; the CMOS sensor and auto-focus keep delivering frames until the host or cable cannot accept more data.

How much heat or noise does the camera produce after hours of live streaming?

The unit has no fan and draws power only from the USB 2.0 port, so it stays near ambient temperature and is completely silent; the 1.5 m cable and privacy cover add no audible or thermal load.
