Converts Wii output to 1080P HDMI with a 3.5mm audio jack for headphones or speakers
The PORTHOLIC adapter converts the Wii and Wii U analogue output to a digital HDMI signal at up to 1080P resolution. It plugs directly into the console and sends video to an HDTV, monitor or projector. A 3.5mm jack provides separate audio for headphones or speakers.
The converter draws power from the Wii port and requires no external supply during extended sessions. Output remains stable at 720P or 1080P when the console is set to 480p mode; games locked to 240p or 480i may not display unless the Wii resolution is changed. The unit must connect directly to the display and cannot sit behind a switch or splitter.
Plug the block into the Wii multi-out port, attach an HDMI cable to the screen, and optionally connect a 3.5mm audio lead. No drivers or configuration are needed. The adapter will not work with the Wii Mini, and some consoles default to 480i which must be switched to 480p in system settings for a picture to appear.

The adapter is powered directly by the Wii's AV port, so it adds no separate power draw and generates no noticeable heat during extended sessions.
You need an HDMI cable to reach your TV or monitor and a 3.5 mm audio cable if you want to connect headphones or external speakers.
Yes, it supports both Wii and Wii U and is plug-and-play; just set the console to 480p mode if a game only runs at 240p or 480i.
