Dual HDMI adapter for laptops and desktops

The PORTTA 107B-USB-HDMI-B adds two independent HDMI displays to a computer through a single USB 3.2 Gen 1 connection. One output reaches 4K at 30 Hz while the second runs at 1080p and 60 Hz. An integrated USB-A to USB-C dongle lets the adapter plug into Type-A, Type-C, Thunderbolt 3 or 4 and USB 4 ports. Windows supports up to eight displays and macOS up to six.

Thermals noise and power draw

The adapter draws power directly from the host USB port and has no fan or external supply. Silicon Motion Content Adaptive Technology keeps CPU load low and latency minimal during typical office work and video playback. The short 11 cm cable keeps the dongle close to the port, reducing strain and clutter. Operation is silent and stays cool under normal extended-desktop use.

Bundled dongle and driver support

The included USB-A to C dongle is the only accessory and it expands port compatibility without extra cables. Drivers install automatically on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS 98 and later, and Ubuntu, so the second and third screens appear without manual setup. Hardware video decoding for H.264, H.263, MP4, MP2, DivX, AVS and JPEG offloads playback from the processor.

Questions about this item

How do I install the PORTTA 107B-USB-HDMI-B adapter and what step is often missed?

Plug the 4-inch cable into a USB-A 3.2 Gen 1 port, connect both HDMI displays, then install the automatic driver on Windows, macOS, Chrome OS V98+ or Ubuntu; the step people skip is running that driver install before expecting the second screen to appear.

What maintenance or replacement will the PORTTA 107B-USB-HDMI-B need over time?

No scheduled maintenance is required; if the 4-inch cable or the integrated USB-A to C dongle becomes damaged, replace the whole adapter.

What limit appears first when driving both outputs continuously on the PORTTA 107B-USB-HDMI-B?

The 5 Gbps USB 3.2 Gen 1 bandwidth caps combined throughput, so sustained 4K@30Hz plus 1080p@60Hz may drop frames or reduce refresh under heavy motion.
