Compatible BenQ SP820 Replacement Lamp

The PowerWarehouse BenQ SP820 lamp replaces the original CS.5J0DJ.001 module in compatible DLP projectors. It is supplied new and rated for 2000 hours of lamp life. This unit is built for owners of SP820-series projectors who need a direct drop-in replacement.

Restores Original Brightness When Lamp Dimms

Install this lamp when the existing unit reaches its rated 2000-hour lifespan or shows noticeable brightness loss. The swap restores factory-level output without firmware changes. It is not intended for projectors outside the SP820 compatibility list or for users seeking extended-life alternatives beyond the rated hours.

Questions about this item

Does the BenQ SP820 lamp module include its own housing, or do I need to reuse the original cage?

The replacement lamp ships as a complete module with housing, so the original cage is not reused. Installation is a direct swap without extra parts.

What is the step users most often miss when fitting the SP820 lamp?

After inserting the new module, the lamp-hour counter in the projector menu must be reset to zero; otherwise the projector will continue to warn that the old lamp has reached its 2000-hour limit.
