Built for 1440p gaming

This desktop pairs a 12-core Ryzen 9 3900X processor with a Radeon RX 6600 XT graphics card holding 8GB of GDDR6 memory. 32GB of DDR4-3200 RAM and a 700W power supply complete the core specification. Windows 10 Pro is pre-installed on the 256GB NVMe M.2 SSD.

Upgrade from 1080p or older GPUs

The jump makes sense when you want higher frame rates at 1440p resolution in current titles. Builders moving from a 6-core CPU or a graphics card with less video memory will see the clearest benefit. The X570 chipset and liquid cooling support the sustained loads this step up demands.

256GB NVMe plus 1TB SATA storage

The operating system and a handful of active games fit comfortably on the NVMe drive. The 1TB hard drive holds larger media libraries and backups. Installing many modern AAA titles at once will exceed the solid-state capacity and require using the slower SATA volume.

Questions about this item

Will the ASUS TUF Gaming GT501 case fit on a standard desk or does it need floor space?

The GT501 is an eATX mid-tower case, so it fits on most desks with enough depth or on the floor beside them.

What is the correct way to mount the Thermaltake Floe Riing 360 radiator so the pump does not run dry?

Mount the 360 mm radiator at the top or front of the GT501 case with the tubes at the bottom of the radiator, keeping the pump below the highest coolant level.

When should the liquid-cooling coolant be checked or replaced on this build?

Inspect the Thermaltake Floe Riing 360 loop once a year for level and clarity; plan a full coolant change every two to three years.
