Premier 9-STP Roller Cover

The Premier 9-STP is a 9 inch paint roller cover designed for applying oil-based or water-based paints. It suits professional painters and DIY decorators working on interior walls and ceilings.

1/4 inch Nap Carpet Stipple Material

The quarter-inch nap carpet stipple cover material determines paint pickup and finish texture. This specification makes the cover compatible with medium, rough, semi-rough, semi-smooth and smooth surfaces including drywall.

Cage Frame Compatibility and Core Fit

The cover fits standard cage-style roller frames thanks to its 1 1/2 inch polypropylene core diameter. Installation issues typically arise when the core is forced onto an incompatible frame size or when the nap is overloaded with paint.

Questions about this item

What does the 1/4 inch nap mean once the roller is on the wall?

The short 1/4 inch nap lays down a thin, even film on smooth to semi-smooth surfaces such as drywall, leaving minimal texture and reducing stipple marks.

What frame style does the cage core accept, and what does that limit?

The 1 1/2 inch polypropylene cage core fits standard cage frames, so it cannot be used on screw-on or European-style frames.

What physical clearance does the 9 inch cover need to mount and roll?

The 9 inch overall length requires a matching 9 inch cage frame and enough wall space to complete full strokes without hitting corners or trim.
