Desktop audio interface and production controller

The Presonus ioStation 24c combines a 24-bit/192 kHz 2x2 USB-C audio interface with a tactile DAW controller. Two transparent XMAX Class A mic preamps and two high-headroom instrument/line inputs handle microphones, guitars, basses and synths. A 100 mm touch-sensitive motorised fader and Session Navigator give hands-on transport, navigation and automation control over a single USB connection.

Two inputs and two outputs with 192 kHz headroom

The 2x2 configuration comfortably records a vocalist and an instrument simultaneously or captures a stereo synth source at up to 192 kHz resolution. Two balanced ¼-inch line outputs feed studio monitors with dedicated level control. A high-powered headphone amplifier with Mix knob provides zero-latency analog monitoring. Projects requiring more than two simultaneous input channels will need an additional interface.

Bundled software suite and native DAW integration

Included Studio One Artist, Ableton Live Lite and the Studio Magic plug-in suite provide immediate recording, editing and mixing tools worth over $1000. The controller offers native, seamless support for Studio One and HUI/Mackie Control emulation for other DAWs. Producers who prefer a different primary DAW without HUI support will not gain the same deep transport and parameter mapping.

Questions about this item

Will the USB-C 2.0 connection work with my older USB-A computer port?

Yes, both USB-C-to-C and USB-C-to-A cables are included so the interface connects to either port type without an extra adapter.

How can I verify the 24-bit 192 kHz converters are active after setup?

Open your DAW audio preferences and confirm the sample rate reads 192 kHz at 24-bit depth; the front-panel meters will then show signal from the XMAX preamps.

What cables and software come in the box versus what I must add?

The box includes USB-C-to-C and USB-C-to-A cables plus Studio One Artist, Ableton Live Lite and the Studio Magic plug-in suite; microphones, instruments, headphones and monitor speakers are not included.
