24-count blue pencil set

This set contains twenty-four Prismacolor Scholar coloured pencils in a blue-themed selection. It is intended for beginning artists, students and hobbyists who want a ready-made range of cool and neutral tones for drawing, colouring and mixed-media work. The soft leads are formulated for smooth laydown and easy blending on paper.

Soft blendable leads

The single specification that determines suitability is the blendable lead characteristic, which allows colours to be layered and merged without hard edges. Hardened cores resist breakage during pressure changes, while the rich pigment load keeps marks vivid after blending. Buyers who need water-soluble or oil-based cores should look elsewhere.

Simple dry-media handling

No sharpeners, solvents or special papers are included, so users supply their own tools. The pencils arrive pre-sharpened and can be used immediately on standard drawing paper. The most common issue is over-sharpening the soft cores, which wastes pigment; a gentle hand-held sharpener avoids this.
