Whole-home VPN router with bundled subscriptions

The Privacy Hero 2 is a WiFi 6 router that includes one year of NordVPN and one year of Privacy Hero Premium. It secures every connected device at the network level, removing the need to install VPN apps on phones, laptops, smart TVs, or consoles. Cloud-based management lets you control VPN connections and device profiles from a single dashboard.

Passive cooling with gigabit wired throughput

The unit uses passive cooling, so it runs silently without fan noise in normal operation. Five 10/100/1000M Ethernet ports provide wired gigabit connectivity for demanding devices. Dual-band 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz wireless with AX3000 data rates handle typical household streaming and browsing loads without thermal throttling.

External antennas and cloud dashboard simplify setup

Four external antennas broadcast the wireless signal throughout the home. A web-based interface and cloud dashboard handle configuration, so no specialised software is required on client devices. The router frees up individual device resources by moving encryption and ad-blocking duties to the network gateway.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the Privacy Hero 2 and what step do people often miss?

Connect the router to your modem using one of the five WAN ports, then log in to the cloud dashboard to activate the included NordVPN and Privacy Hero Premium subscriptions before configuring device profiles.

What ongoing costs or replacements should I expect after the first year?

The bundled NordVPN and Privacy Hero Premium subscriptions last one year; after that you will need to renew either or both services to keep VPN routing and advanced privacy features active.

What throughput limit will I hit first when the whole family streams at once?

The AX3000 wireless ceiling and the five 10/100/1000M WAN ports cap combined traffic, so sustained heavy use across many devices will saturate the 1000M wired links before the WiFi 6 radio reaches its maximum.
