External CD Player for BMW X5 M

The Pro Star USB CD player adds disc playback to 2019 to 2026 BMW X5 M models that lack a factory CD drive. It draws power from the vehicle USB port and lets you control tracks through the original radio or steering-wheel buttons.

Replacing a missing factory CD drive

This unit restores the ability to listen to physical CDs after manufacturers stopped including built-in players. The upgrade is worthwhile for owners who keep a CD collection and want OEM-style control without replacing the head unit.

USB-powered operation limits

The player must remain connected to a USB port that supplies enough current, so cable reach determines mounting options. Indexing each disc takes about two minutes and must finish uninterrupted or the setup must be restarted.
