Add-on CD player for Buick Encore

This Pro Star USB CD player adds disc playback to 2019 to 2026 Buick Encore models that lack a factory unit. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and draws power from the same connection. The compact drive can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the centre console or in the glove box.

Suited for owners who want physical media playback

Drivers who prefer listening to their existing CD collection through the car's original audio system will find this a straightforward solution. Buyers whose vehicle does not have an accessible USB port or who rely solely on streaming services will not benefit from this device.

USB-powered plug-and-play installation

The single cable carries both data and power, so no extra wiring or tools are required. After plugging it in, the system needs about two minutes to index the disc before playback begins. Interrupting that process means restarting the setup from the beginning.

Questions about this item

Does my Buick Encore need a factory USB port for this Pro Star CD player to work?

Yes, the unit draws power and data from the vehicle's USB port, so a functional factory USB port is required.

Will the Pro Star player let me keep using my Encore's steering wheel audio controls?

The player is designed to pass track and volume commands through the factory radio, so the steering wheel controls continue to operate the CD playback.

How do I know the Pro Star CD player has finished indexing a disc after I insert it?

Wait the full two minutes mentioned in the instructions; once that period ends without interruption, the disc is indexed and ready to play.
