Vehicle-specific CD player

The Pro Star Bluetooth USB CD Player is designed for 2019 to 2026 Ford Maverick models that lack a factory disc drive. It connects through the vehicle's existing USB port and integrates with the original radio and steering-wheel controls. No additional wiring or tools are required for installation.

Thermals noise and power

The unit draws power directly from the car's USB port, so it adds no extra load to the electrical system and requires no separate power connection. With no internal fan or moving parts beyond the disc mechanism, it operates silently and produces negligible heat during normal playback.

Ford Maverick USB compatibility

This player works only when the Maverick's USB port can supply enough current for the drive and index the disc within the required two-minute window. Vehicles without a compatible USB port or owners who need DVD or Blu-ray playback cannot use this device.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Pro Star CD player and what step causes the most problems?

Plug the USB cable into the vehicle USB port and wait two minutes for the CD to finish indexing; interrupting this process requires restarting from step one with a different disc.

What maintenance or replacement will the Pro Star USB CD player need later?

The unit has no user-serviceable parts; if the laser pickup or USB cable fails the whole device must be replaced.

What limit appears first during sustained use of the Pro Star CD player?

Continuous operation is limited by the vehicle USB port's power delivery; if the port cannot supply enough current the player will stop reading discs.
