Add a CD player to your Kia Soul EV

This external CD player connects to the factory USB port in 2019 to 2026 Kia Soul EV models. It restores the ability to play audio CDs without any wiring or tools. The unit is powered entirely through the USB connection.

Plug-and-play design with flexible mounting

The device plugs directly into the vehicle USB port and requires no additional wiring. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the cable reaches. Music is controlled using the factory radio or steering wheel controls.

Two-minute indexing required before use

Each disc needs about two minutes to finish indexing after insertion. Interrupting this process means restarting the full setup procedure with a different CD. The player relies on the car USB port for both power and data, so it only works where that port is accessible.

Questions about this item

What USB interface does the Pro Star CD player use and what does it limit?

It plugs into the vehicle USB port for power and data, and the connection caps you to the car's own USB bandwidth and supported audio formats.

What physical mounting options does the unit allow in a 2019-2026 Kia Soul EV?

The player can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the supplied USB cable reaches the port.

How is the Pro Star CD player installed and which step causes the most problems?

Plug the USB cable into the car's USB port, wait two minutes for the CD to finish indexing before using the controls, then follow the printed manual; interrupting the indexing step forces a full restart with a different disc.
