Power and Installation

The unit draws power entirely from the car's USB port, eliminating the need for separate wiring or an external power supply. Installation requires no tools; the device simply plugs in and can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the console or in the glove box.

Included Guidance

A printed instruction manual is bundled to walk the user through the setup process. The documentation highlights a mandatory two-minute indexing period for each new disc, and notes that interrupting this step requires restarting the procedure with a different CD.

Questions about this item

How do I install the Pro Star CD player in my 2019 Kia Sportage and what step causes setup issues?

Plug the cable into the vehicle USB port, then wait two minutes for the CD to finish indexing before using the controls; interrupting indexing forces a full restart with a different disc.

What maintenance or replacement will this USB-powered CD player need over time?

The laser lens may need occasional cleaning with a standard disc cleaner; the USB cable and drive mechanism are the only parts that can wear out and require replacement.

What limit appears first during a long drive when using this CD player continuously?

The vehicle USB port supplies all power, so extended play is limited by the port's current capacity and the head unit's heat tolerance during sustained operation.
