External CD player for 2019-2026 Mercedes-Benz

This Pro Star USB CD player adds disc playback to vehicles that no longer include a factory unit. It is designed for owners of compatible A Class models who want to listen to their existing CD collections through the car's audio system. The device draws power and data from a single USB connection.

Plug-and-play USB integration with factory controls

The unit connects directly to the vehicle's USB port without additional wiring or tools. Once installed, music playback can be managed using the original radio interface or steering wheel buttons. A printed instruction manual guides the setup process, which requires approximately two minutes for initial disc indexing.

Single-disc playback with flexible mounting

The player handles one standard CD at a time and can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or wherever the USB cable reaches. It does not support DVD video, Blu-ray discs, or media formats beyond standard audio CDs. Buyers needing multi-disc changers or digital file playback from USB storage should consider other solutions.

Questions about this item

Does the USB cable or the CD mechanism need any periodic maintenance?

The unit has no user-serviceable parts; the USB cable and CD mechanism are sealed and require no scheduled upkeep.

What limits continuous playback when the player runs for hours?

The player draws power from the vehicle USB port, so the car's USB current rating is the practical limit for uninterrupted use.

How much heat or noise does the unit produce during all-day operation?

It runs silently with no moving fan and stays cool because it is powered only by the low-current USB connection.
