What This Unit Adds

The Pro Star USB CD player restores disc playback to 2019-2026 Nissan Leaf models that left the factory without a built-in drive. It connects through the vehicle's existing USB port and draws power from the same connection, so no extra wiring or tools are required for installation.

Check Before Ordering

Verify that your Leaf has a functional USB port capable of supplying power and data to an external accessory. The included instructions require roughly two minutes for the first disc to finish indexing; interrupting that process means restarting the entire setup with a different CD. Mounting options include vertical or horizontal placement on the centre console or in the glove box, provided the cable reaches the port.

Everyday Use Behaviour

Once indexed, the player is controlled through the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons, letting you browse tracks without touching the unit itself. Because it is USB-powered, operation stays consistent regardless of engine state, and there is no internal battery to degrade over time. The plug-and-play design means the device remains ready whenever a disc is inserted, with no additional boot delay after the initial indexing.

Questions about this item

Does the Pro Star CD player include the USB cable and mounting hardware, or must I buy them separately?

The player ships with a printed instruction manual and plugs directly into the vehicle USB port; no extra wiring, tools or separate cables are required for installation.

Which model years does this single Pro Star unit cover for the Nissan Leaf?

One version fits every Leaf from 2019 through 2026, so no year-specific model choice is needed.

How long does the indexing step take before the CD player works with the factory radio?

Allow two minutes for the disc to finish indexing; interrupting the process means restarting from step one with a different CD.
