Pro Star USB CD Player for 2019-2026 Toyota 4Runner

This Pro Star unit adds a single-disc CD player to 2019-2026 Toyota 4Runner models that lack a factory disc drive. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and integrates with the existing radio and steering-wheel controls. The device is designed for owners who still prefer physical media over streaming or digital files.

Sustained playback depends on uninterrupted indexing

The player requires approximately two minutes to index each disc before playback stabilises. Interrupting this process forces a full restart of the installation steps with a different disc. Once indexed, the unit draws power continuously from the USB port to maintain operation during extended drives.

Plug-and-play install with a strict indexing rule

Installation uses the factory USB port only, with no extra wiring or tools needed. The included printed manual must be followed from step one, especially the mandatory two-minute indexing wait. The unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the console or in the glove box wherever the cable reaches.

Questions about this item

Does the Pro Star USB CD player get hot or drain the 4Runner battery when it runs all day?

The unit is powered only by the vehicle USB port, so it draws minimal current and produces no noticeable heat during extended use.

What must already be in my 2019-2026 4Runner for this CD player to work?

A functional factory USB port is required; the player plugs directly into it with no extra wiring or adapters.

Will steering-wheel audio controls still operate the CD player alongside the factory radio?

Yes, the device is designed so the factory radio and steering-wheel buttons control playback once the CD finishes indexing.
