Add CD playback to Tonale 2019-2026

This external USB CD player restores disc playback for Alfa Romeo Tonale models from 2019 to 2026 that left the factory without a built-in drive. It connects through the vehicle's existing USB port and integrates with the factory CarPlay interface so audio can be controlled from the original radio or steering-wheel buttons.

USB port supplies power and data

The unit draws all power from the car's USB socket, so no separate supply or wiring harness is needed. Operation is limited to vehicles that present CarPlay over USB and provide enough current for the drive mechanism; cars without a compatible USB port or with restricted current output cannot support the player.

Mount vertically or horizontally

The compact drive can be placed on the centre console, in the glove box or any flat surface the cable reaches, with printed instructions included. Installation fails most often when the mandatory two-minute disc-indexing wait is skipped; if interrupted, the process must be restarted from step one with a different disc.

Questions about this item

How do I know this CD player fits my Alfa Romeo Tonale?

The unit is built for 2019 to 2026 Alfa Romeo Tonale models and plugs straight into the factory USB port with no extra wiring.

What happens after I plug it into the USB port and insert a disc?

The player draws power from the USB port, indexes the CD for about two minutes, then lets you control playback through the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons.

Does the USB connection limit audio quality or file support?

The USB link carries both power and the CarPlay signal, so the factory head unit handles decoding exactly as it does for a phone.
