Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player for 12Cilindri Spider

The Pro Star USB CD Player adds a single-disc drive to the 2019-2026 Ferrari 12Cilindri Spider, letting owners play their existing CD collections through the factory audio system. It is designed for drivers who want physical media playback without replacing the original head unit.

Plug-and-play USB connection

The device draws power and data from the vehicle's USB port, requiring no extra wiring or tools. Once connected, the factory radio or steering-wheel controls manage playback, and the unit indexes each disc for two minutes before it is ready. The package includes a printed instruction manual for the setup sequence.

Simple mounting with a critical indexing step

The player can be positioned vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the cable reaches the USB port. Installation fails if the two-minute indexing process is interrupted; the manual directs the user to insert a different disc and restart from step one to recover.

Questions about this item

Does the Pro Star USB CD player need any periodic lens cleaning or firmware updates?

The unit has no user-serviceable parts; keep the disc slot free of dust and follow the two-minute indexing wait each time you insert a CD.

What limits continuous playback — disc heat, USB power draw or indexing time?

The player draws all power from the car's USB port, so sustained use is limited by that port's current rating rather than the drive itself.

How much fan noise or heat does the external CD drive add during a long drive?

The device has no internal fan and is powered only by the USB connection, so it adds negligible heat and no audible noise while running.
