Add a CD Player to Your Ford Taurus

This Pro Star unit restores CD playback to 2019 through 2026 Ford Taurus models that left the factory without a disc drive. It connects to the vehicle USB port and integrates with the existing CarPlay interface so the factory radio or steering wheel buttons control playback.

Suits owners who still use physical discs

Drivers who rely solely on streaming or phone storage will not need this accessory. Buyers whose vehicle lacks a USB port or whose infotainment system does not support CarPlay cannot use the player.

USB-powered plug-and-play installation

The device draws power and data from a single USB connection with no extra wiring or tools required. Printed instructions guide the two-minute disc-indexing step that must finish before the player is ready for use.

Questions about this item

Where can the Pro Star USB CD player be mounted in a 2019-2026 Ford Taurus?

The unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the USB cable reaches the vehicle's USB port.

What is the critical step people skip during installation?

You must allow two minutes for the CD to finish indexing before using the player; interrupting this process requires restarting the setup with a different disc.

Does the Pro Star CD player need a separate power connection or battery changes?

No, it draws power directly from the vehicle's USB port and has no internal battery to replace.
