Pro Star CD Player for Honda Prologue

This external CD player adds disc playback to 2019 to 2026 Honda Prologue models that lack a factory unit. It connects through the vehicle USB port and integrates with the existing CarPlay interface. Drivers who still use physical media can listen to their CDs without replacing the original head unit.

USB powered plug and play mounting flexibility

The device draws power from the USB connection so no extra wiring or tools are required. It can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the cable reaches the port. Factory radio and steering wheel controls manage playback once the initial indexing finishes.

Check USB port location and CarPlay compatibility

Verify that your Prologue has a reachable USB port and supports CarPlay before ordering. The installer must allow two minutes for the first CD to complete indexing or the process must be restarted with a different disc. Vehicles without CarPlay or with inaccessible ports cannot use this player.

Questions about this item

What USB interface does the Pro Star CD player use and what does that limit?

It plugs into the vehicle's USB port for power and CarPlay data, so playback speed and indexing time depend on that port's output.

What mounting options and clearances does the unit need?

The player can sit vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the supplied cable reaches the USB port.

How is the Pro Star CD player installed and which step do people skip?

Plug the cable into the USB port, then wait the full two minutes for the CD to finish indexing before using the controls; interrupting indexing forces a restart with a different disc.
