Add-On CD Player for Hyundai Accent

The Pro Star USB CD player adds a single-disc drive to 2019-2026 Hyundai Accent models that lack a factory CD slot. It connects through the vehicle's existing USB port and integrates with the CarPlay interface so the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons control playback.

Plug-and-Play Installation

No extra wiring, adapters or tools are required; the unit draws power directly from the USB connection. A printed instruction manual guides the setup, and the player can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box or wherever the cable reaches the port.

Indexing Wait and Operation

Allow roughly two minutes for the disc to finish indexing before use; interrupting this process means restarting the full installation with a different CD. Once indexed, the drive runs from the USB bus with no separate power supply, keeping cabin wiring simple and current draw minimal.

Questions about this item

How long does the CD indexing process take before the player is ready?

The CD needs about 2 minutes to finish indexing after insertion. Interrupting the process means starting over with a different disc and repeating the full installation steps.

Does the unit need a separate power cable or can it run off the car USB port?

It is powered entirely through the vehicle USB port, so no extra wiring or power adapter is required.

What factory controls will still operate the CD player once it is connected?

The player works with the existing radio buttons and steering-wheel controls, letting you change tracks and adjust volume without a new remote.
