Pro Star CarPlay CD Player for Hyundai Elantra

The Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player adds a single-disc drive to 2019 to 2026 Hyundai Elantra models that left the factory without one. It connects directly to the vehicle's USB port and integrates with the existing CarPlay interface so music is controlled from the factory radio or steering wheel buttons. No extra wiring or tools are required for installation. The unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally wherever the cable reaches.

Replaces missing factory CD player for disc owners

This device is intended for drivers who still use physical CDs and whose Elantra no longer includes a built-in slot. It upgrades the car by restoring disc playback without replacing the head unit or running new harnesses. The jump is worth it when you want OEM-style control through the original screen and steering wheel rather than a portable player with its own display and power supply. It is not for buyers who only stream audio or who need multi-disc changers or DVD video playback.

Single-disc capacity with USB-powered operation

The player handles one standard audio CD at a time and draws all power from the car's USB port. After inserting a disc you must allow about two minutes for indexing to finish before the tracks appear on the factory display. Interrupting that process means starting over with a different disc and repeating the full setup. It does not support MP3 data discs, video formats or external storage beyond the single CD mechanism.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the Pro Star USB CD player need on the centre console for vertical or horizontal mounting?

The unit can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or anywhere the USB cable reaches the port.

What is the most common mistake during the Plug & Play installation?

Interrupting the mandatory two-minute CD indexing process before it finishes; if stopped early, you must insert a different CD and restart from step one.

When will the USB cable or CD mechanism need replacement?

Replace the cable if the connector loosens or the sheath frays, and service the mechanism if discs fail to load, eject, or read after indexing completes.
