Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player

The Pro Star unit adds an external CD player to 2019-2026 Hyundai i30 models that lack a factory disc drive. It connects through the vehicle's USB port and integrates with the existing CarPlay system. No extra wiring or tools are required for installation. The device draws power directly from the USB connection.

Capacity and headroom

The player reads standard audio CDs and indexes each disc in roughly two minutes before playback begins. Interrupting this process requires restarting the setup with a different disc. It handles one disc at a time and relies on the car's infotainment system for file navigation. There is no internal storage or support for other media formats.

Build quality and connectors

The compact mechanism can be mounted vertically or horizontally on the centre console, in the glove box, or wherever the USB cable reaches. A printed instruction manual is included for the initial setup. Music control remains on the factory radio or steering-wheel buttons once the disc is indexed.

Questions about this item

Will the Pro Star CarPlay USB CD Player work with the factory radio and steering wheel controls on my 2019 Hyundai i30?

Yes, the unit is designed so you can control music playback from your existing factory radio or steering wheel controls once it is plugged into the vehicle USB port.

How can I confirm the CD player has finished installing correctly after I plug it in?

Allow two minutes for the disc to finish indexing; the process is complete when the CD is recognised and playable without interruption.

Does the package include a mounting bracket or adhesive, or do I need to buy those separately?

The box contains the USB CD player, a printed instruction manual and the connecting cable; mounting hardware for the console or glove box is not included.
